Forewing: 5 to 6mm
Habitats: Conifer plantations.
Habits: The moth flies high around the tops of conifers from midday until sunset.
Foodplant: The young larva mines the needles of Norway Spruce, European Silver Fir and Giant Fir. It later feeds within the spun terminal shoots. It either pupates in a cocoon spun amongst the neeedles on the ground or in the soil.
