Habits: The male flies around the tree tops for a short time around mid-day and sometimes in afternoon sunshine.
Foodplant: The larva at first mines the needles of Norway Spruce, Sitka Spruce, other spruce or sometimes European Silver Fir. It later lives within a spinning of needles. It pupates in a white cocoon amongst the needles on the ground or in the earth.
