Habitats: Open woodland, woodland rides and margins, scrub and hedgerows.

Habits: The moth flies in the late afternoon and evening and occasionally comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds in the spun leaves of Dog Rose and other roses. It pupates in a flimsy cocoon in the leaf litter.
