Habitats: Calcareous grassland rough ground, road verges, meadows and gardens.
Habits: The moth rests on the flowers and leaves of the foodplant. It flies in sunshine and at dusk.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on Ox-eye Daisy. It feeds in the rootstock and probably the flower-heads from where it burrows down the stem to the rootstock. It possibly feeds on Shasta Daisy which is commonly grown in gardens. It pupates in a cocoon attached to the rootstock.
