Habits: The moth flies high around larches in afternoon sunshine.
Foodplant: The larva lives in the lateral shoots of European Larch, usually about two metres above the ground. At first it mines the bark, but later a conspicuous, elongate resinous gall is formed. It pupates in the feeding place.
