Habits: The moth can be recorded by tapping conifer branches in the day. It flies around the tips of branches during the afternoon. It comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds in dead or dying twigs and aborted buds and side shoots of Giant Fir, Sitka Spruce, Scots Pine and Norway Spruce. It pupates in a cocoon in the larval habitation.
