Forewing: Male 10 to 14mm. Female to 19.5mm
Habitats: In southern Europe it is found on arid hillsides.
Habits: The first British record was from Hartford, Huntingdon on 5th October 2018. The moth is found in France and central and southern Europe, south to North Africa.
Foodplant: The early stages have not yet been recorded in Britain. On the European mainland the larva has been recorded in wasp nests.
