Habitats: Chalk downland and coastal chalk slopes. Limestone pavement in Ireland.

Habits: The moth flies from the vegetation when disturbed in the day. It comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds from a silk tube amongst the roots of Wild Thyme.
