Habits: The moth is nocturnal and comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva at first feeds in a rolled leaf or a turned-down leaf edge on Aspen. It later lives in a silk tube in a spinning constructed from a dead leaf spun to a live one. There are sometimes two larvae in separate tubes within the same leaves. It pupates in a tough cocoon amongst the leaf litter.
