Habitats: Mature spruce plantation and occasionally gardens.

Habits: The moth flies from dusk and comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds within a developing cone of Norway Spruce. The feeding stunts the cone and causes it to drop prematurely. The larva pupates in a flimsy cocoon within the cone.
