Similar species:

Forewing: 7 to 8.5mm

Habitats: Limestone pavement and coastal sand-dunes.

Habits: The moth flies in the sunshine and at night. It comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds from a silk gallery in the flowers and at the base of Wild Thyme. The full-fed autumn larva overwinters in a tough cocoon amongst moss or leaf litter which is attached to something solid. It pupates in the cocoon in April.
