Habits: The moth occasionally basks in the sun on a fern frond. It flies in the evening and later comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds in a slight web under a frond of Narrow Buckler Fern or Lemon-scented Fern and probably other ferns. The full-fed larva overwinters in a strong silk cocoon on a leaf or on the ground where it pupates in late April.
