Habits: The moth is nocturnal and comes to light.

Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain and Ireland. The larva feeds from a silk tube at the base of leaves of various grasses including Sorghum, Rice and Maize, Bermuda Grass and Perennial Ryegrass.
