Forewing: 13 to 15mm

Habitats: Gardens, allotments and wasteground.

Habits: The moth flies from dusk and later comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva lives in a flimsy web in the centre of the foodplant or in spun leaves of brassicas (especially cultivars), including Cabbages, Cauliflower, Radish, Swede, Sea-kale, Horse-radish, Hedge Mustard and Charlock. The autumn generation larva overwinters full-fed in a strong silk cocoon in which it pupates in early May.
