Similar species: This is a dull brown moth with faint central cross-lines and an orange/yellow head and base to the thorax and forewings. It rests flat in a triangular form.
Forewing: Males 8 to 11mm, Females 7.5 to 10mm
Habitats: This moth is found throughout mainland Europe as far as Russia, except Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Portugal, Slovenia and Ukraine.
Habits: The first British record of this species was at light on 19th June 2023 at Eastern Hornstocks, Northamptonshire.
Foodplant: The gregarious larva feeds on cruciferous plants including cruciferous vegetables, broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower.
