Habitats: Marshes, moorland, grasslands, pasture, damp woodland clearings and rides.
Habits: The moth is easily disturbed from grass stems in the day. It flies at night and comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds in a flimsy web at the base of Sheep's-fescue, Deergrass or possibly other grasses and sedges. It probably pupates in a cocoon in the leaf litter.
