Forewing: 10 to 12.5mm

Habitats: Heathland bogs and mires.

Habits: The moth flies in the late afternoon and then again from sunset onwards. It comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds from a spinning on sedges. It pupates in a cocoon in the soil.
