Habitats:
Habits: This moth is usually the first crambid to appear on the wing in Britain and Ireland. It rests on grass stems during the day, but is easily disturbed. It flies from dusk and later comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva lives in a silk gallery at the roots of a wide selection of grasses, but especially Tufted Hair-grass. It pupates in a cocoon in the debris under the plant attached to a root or a stone.
