Similar species:

Forewing: 10 to 13mm

Habitats: Grasslands.

Habits: The moth is easily disturbed in the day. It flies at night and comes to light.

Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain. On the European mainland it is associated with Sheep's-fescue or Grey Hair-grass. It is thought to feed among the roots.
