Habits: There are five 19th Century records of this moth in Britain.
Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain. On the European mainland it feeds from a vertical silk gallery in the ground on meadow-grasses and rye-grasses. It overwinters in a cocoon in the ground where it pupates in the spring.
