Similar species:

Forewing: 8 to 9mm

Habitats: Damp woodland margins.

Habits: The moth is nocturnal and comes to light.

Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain. On the European mainland the larva is found on mosses growing on the ground or on the trunks of apple, plum or poplar.
