Habits: The moth is occasionally found on tree trunks in the day. It comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on sallows, willows, Apple, Crab Apple, Aspen and poplars. It will use both trees and small saplings. It pupates under the soil near the base of its foodplant.
