Habits: The moth is sometimes found during the day on tree trunks, posts or walls. It feeds at dawn and especially dusk on tubular flowers such as Tobacco, Petunias, lilies and phlox. It comes to light.
Foodplant: This species does not survive British winters. The larva feeds on Field Bindweed, Hedge Bindweed, other bindweeds and related garden species. It pupates underground.
