Habitats: Calcareous downland scrub, open woodland, hedgerows and gardens.
Habits: The moth is easily disturbed from the foodplant during the day. It comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds in the flower buds of Traveller's-joy and cultivated Clematis.
