Habitats: Warm, often south facing calcareous grassland on cliffs, downland and in quarries. Also on sand-dunes.
Habits: The moth is occasionally disturbed from the foodplant during the day. It flies from dusk and comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on the flowers of Wild Thyme. It pupates in loose soil.
