Habitats: Woodland, scrub, hedgerows and gardens.
Habits: The moth is sometimes disturbed in the day. It flies from sunset and comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on Hawthorn, Midland Hawthorn, Blackthorn, Wild Plum, Bullace, Rowan, Wayfaring-tree, Honeysuckle and probably other deciduous trees. It pupates amongst spun leaves or in the leaf litter.
