Local

The outer cross-line lacks the kink just before it reaches the leading edge and the whole of the legs are similar in colour to the body.

Forewing: 18 to 22mm

Habitats: Deciduous woodland, parkland, downland scrub, hedgerows and gardens.

Habits: The moth comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds on Pedunculate Oak, probably Sessile Oak, Small-leaved Elm and other elms, limes, Silver Birch, Downy Birch, Beech, Blackthorn, Hawthorn and other deciduous trees. It pupates amongst spun leaves of the foodplant.

On the European mainland it has been recorded from Norway Maple.
