Immigrant

Similar species: Iron Prominent Notodonta dromedarius is on average smaller (18 to 24mm) and darker without a yellowish band across the forewing.

Forewing: 22 to 27mm

Habitats: On the European mainland it inhabits woodland, parkland, poplar plantations and gardens.

Habits: The moth comes to light.

Foodplant: On the European mainland the larva feeds on Aspen, poplars, birches and willows. It pupates in the soil.
