Similar species: This moth looks like one of the rare dark forms of either Marbled Brown or Lunar Marbled Brown, but with a pale central mark in the forewing.

Forewing: 14 to 15mm

Habitats: On the European mainland it is found in a variety of habitats where poplars are present.

Habits: The moth comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds on Aspen and other poplars. It pupates in the leaf litter.
