Similar species: If care is taken this moth is unlikely to be mistaken for any other British or Irish species, but there is the possibility of similar species arriving as immigrants.
Forewing: 7 to 8mm
Habitats: In Europe it is found in dry, open meadows and woodland clearings.
Habits: One record from the Isle of White in June 1872.
Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain. On the European mainland the larva feeds on the flowers of Dwarf Everlasting, Mountain Everlasting and cudweeds. It pupates in a spinning on or just below the flowers of the foodplant.
