Immigrant

Similar species: The cream bands across the forewing of Parallel Lines Grammodes bifasciata are both straight.

Forewing: 14 to 18mm

Habitats: In southern Europe it inhabits deciduous woodland clearings, dense scrub, field margins and wasteground.

Habits: The moth comes to sugar and light. Two British records 1903 and 1990.

Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain. In southern Europe it feeds on Bramble, oaks and some other non-British species. It pupates in the leaf litter or in loose soil.
