Similar species: The large white to peach coloured semi-circular mark between the dark kidney mark and outer central cross-line distinguishes this moth from all other British or Irish species.

Forewing: 14 to 16mm

Habitats: In Europe it inhabits grassland and scrub on sunny slopes, limestone outcrops, field margins, rough grassland and gardens.

Habits: The moth comes to light.

Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain. On the European mainland the larva feeds on Field Bindweed or Hedge Bindweed Calystegia sepium.
