Similar species: The male of Shuttle-shaped Dart Agrotis puta insula is on average smaller (12 to 16mm) and has less streaked markings. The identity can only be confirmed by checking the genitalia.
Forewing: 15 to 16mm
Habitats: Dry rocky scrub.
Habits: A Mediterannean species with only one British record at Grouville, Jersey on 10th September 2002.
Foodplant: Unknown, but probably low-growing herbaceous plants. It will accept Dandelion in captivity.
