Habits:
Foodplant: The larva forms a slender gallery mine that slightly widens toward its end in an elm or Wych Elm leaf. It often at least partly follows the leaf margin. The frass is dispersed in the early part of the mine. The exit hole is on the upper surface. It pupates in a cocoon in the leaf litter.
