Habits:
Foodplant: The larva bores the petiole of Italian Poplar causing a swelling. On reaching the leaf disc it forms an elongate blotch with a double line of frass between the leaf margin and the most lateral vein, although less often between the midrib and the first lateral vein. The larva can be found in fallen leaves with green 'islands'.
