Habits:
Foodplant: The larva forms a strongly contorted gallery mine with dispersed frass in a leaf of a rose or sometimes Salad Burnet. The mine later follows the leaf margin then widens into an elongate blotch. The mined area is often purple-red. It pupates in a cocoon in the leaf litter.
