Habitats: Limestone downland and sand-dunes.
Habits: The moth rests on the foodplant during the day. It flies in early morning sunshine and again in the afternoon. It occasionally comes to light.
Foodplant: The early stages are not confirmed. The larva probably feeds in the flowers and hips of Burnet Rose or occasionally Sherard's Downy Rose. In the spring after hibernation it feeds in developing shoots which becomes deformed. It pupates in a shoot.
