Similar species:
Forewing: 3.5 to 5mm
Habitats: In and around buildings. It was recently re-discovered near Corfe Castle, Abbotsbury Swannery and Portesham, which are all in Dorset.
Habits: The moth is possibly associated with rodent nests.
Foodplant: The early stages are unconfirmed. The larva is thought to feed from a case on detritus on the ground. It has been suggested that it also feeds on lichens.
