Forewing: 3 to 4mm

Habitats: Woodland, hedgerows or wherever the foodplants are present.

Habits:

Foodplant: The larva mines the underside of a leaf of Hawthorn, Pear, Wild Service-tree or occasionally Rowan. It is often situated on a lobe causing it to at least partially fold downward. It pupates in a pale brown cocoon with the frass stacked to one side.
