Habitats: Chalk downland and lower mountain slopes with open woodland.
Habits:
Foodplant: The larva feeds on Juniper. It mines the needles from the base to the tip and back. Then via the adjacent green bark moves to the next needle. There is an exit hole only in the final needle. It pupates in spun needles on the ground.
