Habitats: Deciduous open woodland.
Habits: The females rest on trunks during the day. Males fly in the day and later come to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds slowly through the summer between leaves spun flat together on Sessile Oak, Pedunculate Oak, Beech, Small-leaved Lime, Aspen, birches, Bilberry, Plum, Blackthorn, roses, Wood Avens, brambles and other trees. It pupates in the leaf litter.
