Habitats: Deciduous woodland.

Habits: The moth flies in the late evening and comes to light.

Foodplant: The early stages have not been recorded in Britain, although it has been suggested that the larva feeds from a case made from a folded leaf while feeding on lichens on Beech trunks or on decaying leaves on the ground.
