Habitats: Deciduous woodland.

Habits: The moth flies in the evening and later comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva feeds in leaf litter including that under Bilberry. It feeds from a case formed from a folded over section of a leaf. It is thought to have a two year lifecycle. Pupation takes place low on a tree trunk attached to a leaf or a twig.
