Habitats: Deciduous woodland.
Habits: The moth rests on its foodplant at night.
Foodplant: The larva eats partially through a leaf stem of Sanicle and then spins it, drawing it upward and residing inside as it gradually wilts. On mainland Europe it is also recorded from Astrantia. It pupates in the leaf litter.
