Forewing: 7 to 10.5mm

Habitats: Deciduous woodland.

Habits: Rediscovered in 1987.

Foodplant: The larva feeds from between flat spun leaves or a leaf and a bract of Small-leaved Lime. On the European mainland it has also been recorded from Hornbeam, Silver Birch, other birches, Beech, Field Maple, Hazel, plums and willows. It eats out holes between the leaf veins. The full-fed larva overwintrs in a folded leaf which falls to the ground. It pupates in the leaf in April.
