Habitats: Woodland rides and margins, tree sheltered grassland, green lanes and shelterd hedgerow verges.
Habits: The moth rests on tree trunks during the day. It flies in evening sunshine and later comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on Lesser Stitchwort or Sticky Mouse-ear. It mines a gallery in a leaf and later it spins the terminal shoots. On the European mainland it is also recorded from Field Mouse-ear, Common Chickweed.
