Habitats: Deciduous woodland, scrub, heathland, sheltered moorland, marshes and fens.
Habits: It is sometimes disturbed from willows during the day. It comes to light.
Foodplant: The larva feeds on Goat Willow, Grey Willow, Osier, Creeping Willow, Eared Willow and other sallows. It either spins two leaves together, or curls the margins downward and feeds on the under surface of the leaf under the down. It pupates betwen leaves, under bark or in the leaf litter.
