Habits: The moth rests on tree trunks during the day, sometimes in numbers waving its antennae. It comes to light.

Foodplant: The larva forms galleries under the bark of lime trees. Its presence can be detected by exuded light brown frass in cracks in the bark. It pupates in April in the leaf litter.
