Forewing: 8 to 9mm
Habitats: Woodland and hedgerows.
Habits: The moth comes to light. It was found to be resident in 1990, on a south facing cliff in Guernsey. It was previously only known from four moths recorded at Southampton Docks, Hampshire in July 1930.
Foodplant: On the European mainland larvae have been found amongst fallen pine needles, decomposing oak-wood, Evergreen Oak acorns and dried fungi.
