Habitats: Damp woodland, marshes and damp grassland.
Habits: The moth can be disturbed in the day and occasionally comes to light.
Foodplant: The first generation larva feeds from within spun leaflets of Wild Angelica or Ground Elder. The second generation larva mines a side stem below an umbel, causing wilting. It pupates in a net like cocoon among the leaf litter.
